Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Child & Youth Worker to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and youth. The successful candidate will work with children and youth to provide support, guidance, and mentorship in a variety of settings.

Duties

  • Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of children, focusing on both academic and life skills.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with disabilities, helping them navigate daily challenges and achieve their personal goals.
  • Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social interaction among peers.
  • Monitor the progress of children participants and provide feedback to parents or guardians regarding their development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as educators and counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to each child's growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for reporting purposes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices in youth work.

Skills

  • Previous experience working with children and youth in a supportive role is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (must be able to drive and provide transportation as required).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children and youth.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Hours:

  • Flexible part-time hours.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
