Responsibilities:

- Provide care and support to youth in a residential setting
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for youth
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for youth
- Implement and facilitate recreational activities and educational programs
- Monitor and document the progress and behavior of youth
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces

**Skills**:

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with youth, their families, and other staff members
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills both oral and written and computer literacy

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (Child Youth Worker, Social Service Worker)
- Understanding of working within a framework of diversity, equity and inclusion

*Knowledge of The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Child, Youth and Family Service Act guidelines, policies and procedures.

**First Aid and CPR**

**Valid G license**

** Vulnerable Sector Clearance**

** UMAB**

** Trauma Informed is an added advantage.**
