Accounting Assistant

Toronto, Canada HP Professional Corporation Full time

Record bank transactions accurately and promptly.
- Enter purchase and expense bills into the accounting system.
- Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Prepare and provide a trial balance to the accountant for review.
- Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
- Respond to various queries and requests from accountant
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Detail oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines

**Location & Schedule**:

- Work is required once a week at our office near Highway 7 & Highway 407.
- Additional tasks can be completed remotely as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
