**Production Operator with mechanical aptitude**

ASL Print FX has one opening for a permanent, full-time, Production Operator with mechanical aptitude; please note this job posting is for an existing vacancy.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Sets up and runs manufacturing equipment.
- Inspects product on start-up and throughout run.
- Feeds manufacturing equipment with raw materials.
- Detects equipment malfunctions and adjusts machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production.
- Uses mechanical tools and reads measuring devices.
- Ensures proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Maintains a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of the shift.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly (scheduled) maintenance and safety checks, as well as fills out required Maintenance log.
- Ensures outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs.
- Resolves work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety.
- Follows manufacturing and processing procedures, sets machine or equipment controls, carries out production and inspection processes as documented.
- Communicates with Supervisor, Lead Hand and/or Quality Assurance, as needed for any issue that arises during production.
- Other duties as assigned.
