**Responsibilities**:

- Process vendor invoices by verifying accuracy, ensuring proper approvals, and post into the accounting system
- Prioritize and manage payment schedules to ensure timely payments and avoid late fees or penalties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and other related record keeping
- Resolve and reconcile discrepancies and issues amongst internal departments and/or vendors relating to invoices or payments
- Review and reconcile statements from vendors, ensuring that all payments are accounted for and accurate
- Monitor discount opportunities, chargebacks statuses and pending credit memos
- Process regular payables runs via EFT, checks and other payment methods as required
- Process all expense reports, credit card reconciliations and reimbursements to client accounts
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance in all accounts payable activities
- Provide assistance and backup support to other members of the accounting team as needed

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization and record-keeping skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform with a high sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Customer focused approach to interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to excel and adapt to new and changing environments
- Experience with accounting software preferred but not required.
- ERP/MRP and Netsuite experience is considered an asset
