Job Summary
A Brief Overview
The Education Technology and Facilities Services unit of the Faculty of Education requires an entry level IT Business Analyst. This role will elicit business needs and requirements from internal groups to support ongoing development, solutioning and new capabilities for the administrative units in the faculty. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and end-users to optimize business processes, and facilitate communication between these groups and our development and operations (DevOps) team to ensure that projects and solutions fit the business needs of each unit. The focus of this role is on helping the team provide solutions for the digital transformation of manual administrative processes, implementation of new products and solutions, resolving technical issues, and coordinating IT training.
As the IT Business Analyst, you will translate business requirements into an implementation plan with clients and team members and make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through technology. This position will also create training plans and schedules for different stakeholders based on their needs and timed with the implementation of new processes and technologies.

This position provides expertise to aid in the planning, design and development of technical resources. This position translates business requirements into an implementation plan with clients and members of the team. This position updates project managers, sponsors of progress towards objectives, and ensures issues are logged and resolved.
**Job Description**:
What you will do
Reviews and edits business requirements and processes, and provides regular updates to project managers and client groups.
Conducts research, develops detailed queries, and addresses information systems changes and business process improvements.
Recommends system and business process improvements on information system and business process issues.
Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner. Required Education
Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields. Required Experience
More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience. Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Knowledge and Requirements
Practical and applied knowledge of specialized methods and processes that are typically acquired through a combination of technical or academic qualification and/or work experience.
Provide consultation and advice on non-straightforward and/or complex issues.

Lead procedural or technological change within a unit.
Identify new problems and seek information and input to fully understand the cause of problems.
Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
