FG Deli Group Ltd, located in Langley B.C., is the progressive leader in the manufacture of premium quality European meat products. We are currently recruiting for the position ofa **Human Resources Generalist.**
The position will be working within the Human Resources Department for a unionized manufacturing facility of about 500 employees. This is a full-time position reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level to support the organizational short
- and long-term objectives.
**Responsibilites**:
- Build a strong partnership with operations group by developing an in-depth understanding of their business and business needs
- Provide leadership and support to managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, progressive discipline, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, human rights and employment legislation, and conflict resolution
- Lead and support full cycle recruitment initiatives for all business leaders
- Partner with Joint H&S Committees on workplace policies, compliance and training
- Maintain up to date knowledge of H.R. and business trends and demonstrate future focus
- Lead the annual performance management process for the operations group
- Coordinate leadership development programs for the operations group
- Provide advice and support to all employees, and act as a resource in the promotion and monitoring of health, safety, rehabilitation, attendance, and illness and benefits programs.
- Completion of post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources
- Three years or more Human Resources working experience
- CPHR designation is an asset
- Manufacturing experience is an asset
- Experience with payroll systems is an asset
- A background and experience with disability management preferred
- Experience within a unionized workforce is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and telephone manners are a must
- Must be able to work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing work demands
- Must be able to multi-task and possess strong organizational skills
- The ability to meet goals with mínimal supervision and good business sense
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$64,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Supplemental pay types:

- Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
