- **Hours**:Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9am-5:30pm-
**Specific responsibilities include**:
- Mixing lacquer and colours following close guidelines and safety protocols.
- Application of base coats, colour, and topcoats using a variety of processes and tools.
- Detailed binding scraping using a variety of hand tools.
- Polishing guitars and guitar parts with fine abrasives and industrial polishing equipment.
- Maintaining the highest standard of quality for the paint and polish process.
- Maintaining an organised, clean, and safe workspace
- Participating in continuous improvement projects in the shop.
- Meeting production deadlines and managing responsibilities in a timely manner.
**Responsibilities may include**:
- Operating disc/belt sander.
- Developing fixturing and templates to improve efficiency.
**Qualifications**:
- Guitar finishing experience required.
- 1+ years of experience in a spray booth environment is an asset.
- Previous experience in instrument manufacturing is an asset.
- Excellent hand-skills, high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with industrial painting and polishing equipment.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks and a physical workload.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to adapt to changes and shifting priorities.
- Openness to learn and take accountability.
- Contribute towards a positive, supportive and responsible workplace.
