**About us** Penta Protective Coatings Ltd. is a small business in West St Paul, MB R2P 2W5. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Provide top service in an efficient manner to our clients in the Construction industry.. Our work environment includes: - casual work environment - small business atmosphere Penta Protective Coatings is seeking a service tech/mechanic/maintenance person to maintain our fleet of vehicles and construction equipment and keep our shop well organized. SKILLS: - ability to troubleshoot defects, diagnose malfunctions and determine type and extend of repairs. - familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. - strong organizational skills - experience with small engines and Diesel equipment an asset - ability to research problems on the internet. - good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team QUALIFICATIONS: - valid class 5 driver’s license and own transportation to our shop in West St Paul - experience with all types of automotive systems Duties would include: - track maintenance done internally or by outside vendors and ensure warranty work completed as needed. - ability to perform basic gas and diesel vehicle repairs such as front end work, electrical, radiators, carburetors and fuel injection systems, drive train components including transmissions, differentials, brakes, etc. - preventative maintenance on vehicles - keep accurate maintenance and repair logs and records - troubleshoot and repair construction equipment including pumps, mixers, tools, etc. - deliver equipment to job sites - maintain the shop in an organized manner keeping inventory of materials, tools and equipment. - Maintenance of grounds and building - learn from manufacturer’s manuals how to troubleshoot and maintain various construction equipment such as air compressors, pumps, generators, misc power tools. The ideal candedate would be: - handy with all forms of equipment, engines and machinery. - able to research the internet for service manuals, parts and "you tube it" if you don't know - approach problems with a "here's how we can do it" approach but not be hesitant to ask questions/ seek solutions from others **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week **Benefits**: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - RRSP match Flexible Language Requirement: - English not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Application question(s): - are you currently living in the Winnipeg area **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Class 5 Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
