Maple Facilities Management Inc. is looking for a **Part-Time Water Operator** to work in **Cowichan Bay, BC**. This is your chance to start a career with one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies

Hours of work - Monday to Friday as scheduled. On-Call & Vacation coverage as needed.

The duties would include, but not limited to:

- ** Water Operations, Pumps and Controls, General and equipment maintenance**:

- ** Undertake routine inspections and testing as required by regulations and operational requirements and to keep current all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checklists and testing records and of all inspections and testing for the Water Treatment Systems**:

- ** Ensure that the Water operations meet and exceed regulatory and legally required guidelines for water quality**:

- ** Available for on-call / emergency call support and vacation relief when needed**:

- ** Undertake and complete any other designated facilities maintenance of the water system**:

- ** Conduct sample testing as per the outlined schedule**:

- **Maintain logs and reports in an orderly manner**:

- ** Maintain work areas and workspaces to ensure safety of workers, general tidiness, and maintain visual lines of sight to equipment and machinery**:

- ** Oversight of the automated monitoring system**:

- **Supervision of water main installation, repair, and replacement**:

- ** Provide input for water system upgrades**:

- **Undergo ongoing training as required; and**:

- ** Any other related duties as assigned.**
- ** Is BC EOCP Certified Water Distribution Operator Level III, preferred**:

- ** Has the ability to keep in good standing with the EOCP**:

- ** 3 years + relevant experience and training preferred**:

- ** Class 5 BC Drivers License**:

- **Has strong written and verbal communications skills**:

- ** Has an excellent attitude towards workplace safety**:

- ** Has computer knowledge and skills in Word, Excel, Outlook**:

- ** Has good mechanical aptitude**:

- ** Be able to undertake the physical demands required with water system operations and maintenance**
