Warehouse Shipping Coordinator

Job Overview: Note: Phone interviews will be in French or English. The Amiflex Shipping Co-Ordinator is responsible for keeping the flow out outgoing shipments by combining multiple order for same customer, organizing orders with packing team, using shipping software and staying in communication with all related employees that may require information or actionable work from various departments. Actual salary is highly dependent on experience. **Essential Functions and Basic Duties** a. Fluency with business, shipping and order processing software b. Extremely comfortable with “tech” (Computers, apps, RF scanners) c. Coordinating customer orders to ship together or individually as required. d. Work with the packing team to anticipate upcoming workload. e. Handle customers at a pickup counter with professionalism. f. Call or notify carriers to come for pick-ups. g. Record freight costs per order as trained. h. Strong sense of urgency when justified ("everything" is not a rush) i. Interact with all departments as required in a professional calm manner. j. Great attention to detail without losing sight of all “tasks” at any given moment. k. Ability to follow, maintain and stay on course of instructions given. l. Maintain communication with management and employees to avoid any misunderstanding. m. Be a positive member of the team while having a wholistic view of the greater good for the company goals. n. Notify management of any concerns that arise. o. Responsibility to maintain company assets in good operating condition (company vehicle, laptop, etc.) p. Other duties as assigned **Qualifications**: **Education/Certification**: - Secondary School Diploma or equivelant preferred but not required. - Knowledge of positive workplace relationships - Strong relationship skills with professional approach **Required Knowledge**: - Full understanding of the functionality of a shipping department within the order processing portion of wholesale distribution - Firm understanding of safety regulations. - Great interpersonal skills - Experience navigating ERP systems and software. **Experience Required/Asset**: - Experience with industrial wholesale distribution, preferably Industrial or Hydraulic Connection products in the Ontario Marketplace is preferred. - Prior knowledge and use of Profit 21 business systems - Highly intuitive with business software and app’s **Skills/Abilities**: - Preference given to those who have experience with the assembly of components into one finished goods part number. - Experience using P21 (Epicor Profit 21) software is a key asset to have. - Effective communication skills, including clear English and French speaking and active listening. - Good interpersonal skills - Basic, but strong math skills - The ability to learn fast while maintaining quality of work. - Excellent organizational skills - Must be disciplined, results oriented and self-motivated. - Solid attendance (otherwise do not apply) - Works productively with a wide range of people; team player - Efficient with computers and technology - Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and professional image - Driving a counterbalance forklift - Skid wrapping (manual and machine) - References **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking Schedule: - Monday to Friday Licence/Certification: - Forklift Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
