As a Transportation Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and professional services during sensitive and challenging situations. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and respectfully remove deceased individuals from various locations, including homes, hospitals, accident scenes and other challenging terrain. This role requires empathy, attention to detail and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations with the utmost sensitivity.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Body Removal: Respond promptly and discreetly to calls for body removal from different locations. Safely and securely transport deceased individuals to the designated facility. Ensure proper handling and respect for the deceased throughout the removal process.
- Customer Service: Interact with grieving family members and loved ones with empathy and professionalism. Provide information and answer questions regarding the removal process, ensuring the family's comfort and understanding.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of each removal, including location, time, and condition of the deceased. Complete any required paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain removal equipment, including stretchers, vehicles, and personal protective gear. Report any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines regarding body removal and transportation. Follow safety protocols to protect both yourself and others during removals.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors. Coordinate schedules and respond to removal requests promptly and efficiently.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with the ability to handle emotional situations professionally.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (deceased individuals) with care and respect.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as removals may occur at any time.
- Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all relevant laws and regulations related to body removal and transportation.
- Prior experience in a related field, such as funeral services or emergency response, is a plus but not required.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: On the road
