**General Description**

Lead the Scheduling team to effectively and accurately create and maintain an efficient production schedule that meets customer requirements by maximizing plant efficiency, minimizing cycle times and efficiently utilizing inventory. This position is accountable for the inputs and outputs of the department and is responsible for the effective management of software, systems, and staff.

**Skill/Effort Requirements**
- 5-7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, supply chain management in manufacturing setting
- Minimum 3 years of scheduling experience
- Excellent computer acumen.
- Experience in configuring, and maximizing ERP Planning modules is a must
- Experience in Microsoft D365 is considered an asset,
- Advanced Excell skill is a must
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with more than 5,000 SKU’s with +400 production orders per month that requires several complex routes.
- Able to complete tasks to deadline
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to communicate complex routing concerns to a varied audience of small and larger groups

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the master planning module in Microsoft D365.
- Develop a monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS), monitor, adjust, and issue the necessary revisions to the schedule in order to meet deadlines and quantities, in coordination with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Sales while maintaining efficiency in the plant. Publish the daily schedule to the manufacturing team, hold daily meetings with manufacturing managers to clarify the schedule. Also, ensure the follow-up of special and/or critical production orders.
- Plan production according to sales confirmed demand and projections, optimizing production lines to ensure the effective use of installed capacity and human resources.
- Develop a 12-month plant load to be presented to the senior team monthly. Implement collaborative planning, forecasting, and stock replenishment, ensure production allocation, optimize load balance, assess and minimize the impact of demand variation on capacity, productivity, and inventory.
- Direct the output and mentor the Planning team by proactively motivating, coaching, communicating, and developing them to achieve a high level of proficiency and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a valid capacity requirements plan (VCAP) that supports the MPS. Work together with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Information Systems to input capacity, standard times, changeovers, maintenance shutdowns into D365.
- Identify bottlenecks and capacity concerns with the Production Management team, coordinate internal and external resolution.
- Monitor all Production Units to ensure work schedules are available in every work center, and prioritized lists are created.
- Work closely with the Sales team to confirm delivery dates considering plant capacity and availability of materials.
- Ensure long-term forecasting allows for scheduled maintenance and scheduled downtime.
- Lead the weekly MPS meeting and update the Sales priority items list.
- Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Information Systems to achieve on-time delivery at optimum cost.
- Review plant load regularly with Purchasing to ensure availability of material. Review Steel shipping priorities on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate and ensure that the department complies with the applicable regulations (ISO and Standen’s policies).
- Ensure all Work Orders are closed at the end of the process; review irregularities and escalate to the Plant Manager if needed.
