The Club at Westlinks is a front porch golf community located near the shores of Lake Huron. The community boasts a 12 hole golf course, a tennis/pickleball court, a gym, a kitchen, a clubhouse and a pavilion, all amongst its growing housing development. The club is open year-round to the public and its guests and hosts a variety of golf events, functions, weddings and gatherings.
Westlinks is seeking an individual to join its Food and Beverage Team this upcoming season as a **Line and Prep Cook**. The individual will be involved in a kitchen/back of house setting. We are seeking people with **integrity**, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This is a seasonal position with **part time and full time** hours available. The position is flexible with hours and for the right individual, there is potential for more responsibility, more consistent hours and variations of employment during the offseason.
**25-40 Hours/Week**
**Responsibilities**:
- Aid in all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure daily expectations are met
- Utilize existing culinary art skills while learning new concepts
- Assist with inventory management of product
- If knowledgeable, provide insight to menu options
- Learn and understand our point of sale system
- Work amongst a team in the kitchen during larger scale food events
- Engage in friendly interactions with customers when required
- Communicate effectively with other Team Members to ensure efficiency and that everyone is set up for success
- Assist other departments within the club when necessary
- General cleaning and organizational tasks
**Requirements**:
- Above all else, have **integrity**, a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and grow each day
- Effective communication skills - listening, understanding and responding
- Experience in a kitchen related to food and beverage operations is an asset
- An active person who can upkeep a fast paced work environment
- High level of problem solving skills

- Thrive working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Comfortability with working along side people who vary in demographic
- Detail oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Previous experience in a similar environment is valued, especially food and beverage withing a golf setting
- Able to accommodate varying shifts - mornings, days, evenings, weekdays and weekends
- Valid G licence
