Aplin has partnered with our client, a manufacturer, and integrator of print-on-demand, friction feeding, and sortation systems to hire a Production Manager. The Production Manager will staff, lead, and supervise the production team. The goal of this position is to ensure the company's Core Machines are manufactured on schedule and pass QC inspection without rework. In addition, the Production Manager will develop strategies and implement processes to improve quality and shorten lead times for Core Machines

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate production schedules and processes to ensure the manufacture of high-quality Core Machines.
- Work with the ERP system to plan, prioritize, and set up production schedules.
- Communicate with the engineering and production teams and service teams to ensure alignment of tasks and goals.
- Set, monitor and when necessary, adjust production schedules in conjunction with material planners.
- Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure employees are trained in all job-specific requirements, providing, and monitoring necessary training.
- Develop work-specific work instructions for all core machine assemblies.
- Provide direction and support to lead initiatives in areas within the production operation where possible identifying opportunities for cost reduction and improvement in efficiencies.
- Create a positive work environment in which teamwork drives success within the production group.
- Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.
- Maintain effective quality of Productions processes & procedures.
- Hands-on assembly as required.
- Assist with proper consumption of inventory to close sales orders in the ERP (e.g., closing work orders, inventory transfers, and review of item set-up & BOMs).
- As part of a team effort, assists in the process of maintaining inventory which includes year-end count and reconciliation.
- Manage Quality Assurance of product and product testing program.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in staffing and leading a Production Team.
- Capable of developing and presenting production schedules at Managers' Meetings.
- Be familiar with basic mechanical tools and their use in fabrication, measurement, and assembly.
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Experience troubleshooting, fabricating, and/or repairing machines and mechanical assemblies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage teams and lead several projects at the same time.
- Ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
- Knowledgeable with ERP systems.
