**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, ensuring all food items are prepped according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling practices meet health regulations.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to support meal service during busy periods.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying supervisors when supplies are low.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly to maintain a safe cooking environment.
- Participate in training sessions to improve cooking skills and knowledge of food handling practices.

**Skills**
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools used for food preparation.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques or recipes as needed.
