**Job Description - Inside Sales Representative**

**City Sheet Metal** is a leading Manufacturer & Distributor of Aluminum, Steel, and Copper Rainware systems and associated accessories.

**CSM** was established in 1920 in Winnipeg, Canada and has grown over the past 100 years, but retains its core business values which are quality, reliability, and service.

**Job Summary**

The Inside Sales Representative is a customer facing position and is responsible for serving customers in person and via the telephone and will take customer requests for a variety of metal building products that City Sheet Metal manufactures / distributes. They must be detail orientated and be able to accurately price and input orders with specs into our manufacturing software. As a member of the sales team this individual understands their role as brand ambassador and provides positive brand experiences to all customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sell additional products that complement our manufactured items.
- Recognizing opportunities for future sales.
- Enter orders efficiently and accurately into the order system.
- Relay vital information to operations team members.
- Prompt and accurate handling of credits and returns.
- Promptly and professionally resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
- Coordinate shipping for customers.
- Provide pricing to customers and assist in the selection of product to suit design requirements.
- Log all complete price requests and follow up in a timely manner.

**Competencies and Qualifications**
- High school graduation is a requirement
- 10 years experience working within the building products industry
- In depth knowledge of metal roofing, flashing, aluminum rainware, and vinyl siding an asset
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate customer needs
- Comfortable with conducting outbound phone calls to existing customers
- Able to quickly learn technical information specific to CSM products and accessories
- Very comfortable with Excel, Word, and Outlook; exceptional keyboarding skills and computer skills
- Aptitude for numerical calculations
- Excellent English communication skills at a capacity to influence sales over the phone
- Good abstract reasoning and able to read and understand 3D drawings
- Estimating and takeoff experience from blueprints would be considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of positive enthusiasm.
- French (Speaking, Reading, Writing) considered an asset.
