Web and Social Media Manager

**SUMMARY**
This position aims to enrich and develop Portage's brand on the web and social media (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn). Reporting to the Communications Director, the Web and Social Media Manager plans and implements the organization’s social media strategies and facilitates conversations with Portage’s online communities on a daily basis. He creates content and ensures that Portage's various programs are promoted on the web. He is also responsible for the monthly newsletter and for managing advertising on social networks.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Social Media Component: _
- Participates in the development of the web and social media strategies;
- Sets up a monthly publication schedule;
- Manages and monitors online communities;
- Develops, drafts, and posts high-quality content;
- Generates and analyzes monthly performance reports and emits proper recommendations;
- Monitors and watches for the latest trends in digital marketing and social media.
- Web Marketing Component: _
- Participates in the development of the marketing strategy;
- Develops, optimizes, and manages Portage’s website;
- Ensures the natural referencing (SEO);
- Measures and interprets web performance metrics and make the appropriate recommendations (Google Analytics);
- Performs online advertising placements (Facebook Ads);
- Creates a yearly press review;
- Participates in the production of communication tools for the organization;
- Ensures the organization’s online visibility (partners, associations, referrers, etc.);
- Collaborates in the organization of events throughout the country;
- Responds to demands received via the website and social networks;
- Content layout and mailing of the monthly newsletter as well as managing the mailing lists.
**REQUIRED PROFILE**
- University studies in communications, digital marketing or any other relevant field;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position;
- Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written (required);
- Excellent knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Business Manager, Twitter and Content Management Tools, as in CMS);
- Expertise in SEO principles;
- Web upload experience (WordPress, Constant Contact);
- Expertise in the principles of social media advertising (Facebook Ads);
- Good knowledge of marketing analysis tools (Google Analytics);
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) (asset);
- Sense of initiative, autonomy and resourcefulness;
- Excellent judgment;
- Ability to organize work and manage priorities;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Detail oriented.
**OTHER INFORMATION**
- **Status**: permanent full-time position (35 hours per week)
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, day shift
- **Salary**: as per company’s salary scale and experience
