- _Travel is required for HRBP support on site at our Retirement Residences located in Eastern Ontario (Ottawa, Belleville, and Kingston)_
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as a trusted source of support for all HR matters for Aspira Retirement Resident client group including, but not limited to recruitment; retention; labour and team member relation issues; interpretation of human resources policy and procedure, collective agreements, employment legislation; grievance management; performance management; attendance management; compensation packages; W. S. I. B. management; Health and Safety practices; benefit, retirement and pension plans
- Partners with business leaders to provide strategic guidance on health and safety, WSIB, Non Occupational and Disability Management which are consistent with organization policies and legislation including development and continuous improvement of health and safety programs, key initiatives, risk & trend analysis, strategic planning to minimize loss time claims, early and safe return to work and team member wellness;
- Provide one-to-one coaching and recommendations to senior leadership on complex HR issues;
- Act as a champion for change management and support ongoing projects with stakeholders including but not limited to Aspira Retirement brand, people and organizational policies, diversity and inclusion
- Partner with key stakeholders in operations and leaders to understand gaps, concerns, and support in improvement strategies via project work
Education & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years in human resources, OR 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist with Project and Change Management experience will be considered
- University Degree combined with a post graduate certificate in Human Resources, or equivalent
- CHRP Designation is required
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing and/or executing people strategies to drive business performance;
- Experience with project or change management considered an asset
- Effective verbal and written English communication
- Ability to travel to various sites across Eastern Ontario is required - access to a reliable vehicle and G License is required
