**Description**:
Talon Risk Mitigation and Investigative Services (Talon) is an Indigenous owned company attempting to facilitate connections between Indigenous Elders and individuals who require their assistance.

The term “Elder” means any person recognized by the Indigenous community as having knowledge and understanding of the traditional culture of the community, including the ceremonies, protocols, teachings, and healing techniques, according to the beliefs and social traditions of their communities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide counseling, teachings, and ceremonial services based on Indigenous practices to individuals (both in groups and individually) to assist them in their healing journeys.
- Offer advice, information, and guidance to relevant parties regarding Indigenous spirituality and cultural practices.
- Participate in case conferences and meetings to collaborate with relevant parties to provide information about each individual’s progress and how to assist them with their ongoing future needs.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be an Indigenous Elder as described in the definition of Elder above and must be recognized by your community as an Elder/Cultural Advisor within that community.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience obtained in the past ten (10) years in delivering spiritual and cultural services and teaching to Indigenous people. Experience must include:

- _Providing counseling, teachings, and ceremonial services in your own community._
- _Being familiar with, and able to, conduct a variety of ceremonies with a focus on healings according to your own teaching._
- _Being familiar with, and able to, provide guidance to relevant parties regarding the protocols surrounding the use, disposition, and searching of traditional medicines and spiritual effects. _
