**Job Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Inventory and Product Coordinator**to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating purchases, and ensuring the timely availability of products to support business operations. You will work closely with vendors, monitor stock movement, and optimize purchasing strategies to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in inventory management or procurement are highly valued for this position.
This role will be based out of our new head office located in the heart of Mount Pleasant.
**Job Duties, Responsibilities & Expectations**:
- Forecasting sales and orders according to business needs, and expediting/delaying/closing purchase orders, as required;
- Helping to maintain accurate open purchase order reports for each store;
- Assisting and monitoring inter store transfers, ensuring their accuracy;
- Completing administrative tasks related to material procurement, including import/export documentation, purchase orders, supporting EDI upgrades, and testing and maintaining the database;
- Coordinating returns to suppliers, including the credit/replacement and securing further pertinent information;
- Frequent interactions with stakeholders on special order arrival dates and financial impacts;
- Monitoring inventory levels and working on plans to mitigate over-capacity issues;
- Tracking production and shipments of the orders to ensure they are shipped on time;
- Completing any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Purchasing and Inventory and/or the VP of Purchasing and Inventory; and
- Performing other related duties, as required.
**What You Bring**
- Experience in managing inventory and purchase orders, or experience managing a retail store as an Assistant Store Manager level or above.
- Experience with data entry, or strong understanding of computers/ inventory systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access)
