to help shape this next chapter at Andrew Peller Limited.

Bring your experience in Wine Vintage management and become a critical analytical hub, providing clear insights, data-driven recommendations, and cross-functional leadership that keeps our national portfolio flowing efficiently. You will work closely with various departments to ensure our finished goods strategy is aligned, optimized, and executed with precision.

What This Teammate Will Be Responsible For -
Inventory & Production Planning Leadership

  • Analyze and enhance finished goods inventory metrics to improve turnover, optimize carrying costs, and strengthen national planning discipline.
  • Lead inventory allocation strategy in collaboration with Master Production Scheduling, Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing—ensuring alignment with the unconstrained demand signal while minimizing shortages and excess.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of bulk wine vintage flip methodology to guide proactive planning, vintage transitions, and production sequencing.

Wine Industry–Specific Portfolio Management

  • Evaluate slow-moving, short-dated, and obsolete finished goods—including innovation SKUs—to call out risks and drive corrective actions through portfolio reviews, lifecycle planning, and delisting strategies.
  • Coordinate closely with Order Management, Logistics, and Quality to manage bottle-aging programs, vintage changes, inventory releases, and non-conforming product procedures.
  • Analyze and manage reporting for supply/demand imbalances across VQA and Non-VQA finished goods, ensuring risks are escalated, understood, and actioned across all APL business units.

Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment

  • Act as a central analytical hub—providing clarity, insight, and recommendations to Winemaking, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Lead Pre-SIM and SIM meetings nationally, aligning teams on supply constraints, inventory risks, and required commercial or production responses.
  • Translate complex planning and inventory analysis into concise, actionable communication that supports timely decision-making.

Analytics, Systems, & Reporting Excellence

  • Develop and refine analytical tools, dashboards, and forecasting models that enhance the S&OP planning process.
  • Maintain accurate allocation data within Oracle Supply and ensure system outputs are aligned with stakeholder expectations.
  • Initiate write-down processes for obsolete inventory in partnership with Finance, ensuring compliance with internal financial controls.

What Experience & Knowledge The Teammate Will Bring -

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, production planning, supply chain, or operations—ideally within the wine or beverage alcohol industry.
  • Strong understanding of vintage management systems, production timelines, and the complexities of the wine industry.
  • Exceptional analytical capability with mastery of Excel, and comfort navigating complex planning systems (Oracle experience is an asset).
  • Highly influential communicator who can simplify complex concepts and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Composed approach to conflict resolution with the ability to guide stakeholders toward balanced decisions.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to operate independently, prioritizing effectively and anticipating issues before they arise.
  • Proven relationship-builder with the confidence to challenge assumptions respectfully and constructively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or related field.
  • APICS CPIM or SCMP certification preferred.

You'll join a passionate, collaborative team at one of Canada's most respected wine and craft beverage companies—where you'll have the opportunity to shape an evolving function and make a meaningful impact on national operations. If you're an analytical planner who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, we'd love to meet you.

We are conducting an internal and external search simultaneously. We wish to thank all applicants for their interest; only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
