The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking outstanding scholars for a full-time tenure-track position in the area of social and administrative sciences.
**Working for the Faculty**:
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is consistently ranked among the top three schools in Canada, and top 50 globally and has been the only pharmacy school in Alberta since 1914. The province of Alberta offers the most unique pharmacy practice environment in North America where pharmacists can prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, provide injections, and receive remuneration for patient care services. Excellent opportunities exist for collaborative research with other disciplines within the Faculty, College of Health Sciences and University as well as outside the University.
**Position**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Teaching (standard allocation of time is 40%). Participate in teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, mentorship and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
- Research (standard allocation of time is 40%). Lead a program of research, participate in multidisciplinary and collaborative research, attract external funding and disseminate results.
- Service (standard allocation of time is 20%). Participate in service to the Faculty, University and community including the profession.
**Qualifications**:
- Applicants must hold a PhD (or advanced training in a social, administrative or health outcome research such as a post-PharmD fellowship or MSc/MPH degree).
- Evidence of an identified research focus in at least one of the following areas: social pharmacy, health policy or health services research, health equity research, public health, patient safety or pharmacy practice research.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
