creating a vibrant History program at King's that fosters the inclusion of diverse perspectives and seeks to
listen to the voices of marginalized people.

**KEY DETAILS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

America. They will teach a variety of courses in the History program and demonstrate a commitment to
active, student-centered teaching approaches which engage and inspire their students. Historians who can
contribute to [or support] our new Indigenous Studies minor are also encouraged to consider this
plan for developing their scholarship.

Responsibilities include:

- Teaching the equivalent of 6 courses per year in undergraduate programming
- Teaching a common curriculum course - World History 1500- present - which all students
- must take
- Teaching courses in Historical Methods
- Engagement in an on-going scholarly research program
- On-going service to the History department, the Faculty of Arts, and the greater

The King’s University follows a standardized salary grid. The salary range for an Assistant Professor position is
$71,000 - $89,000/yr. A comprehensive benefit package, pension, and generous vacation and time off are
