**Reference # - JG-16186** Capstone Project Solutions Inc., has partnered with Meridia Recruitment Solutions to recruit a Business Analyst to their multi-disciplinary team. Capstone is a project planning and delivery organization located in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Ecuador. Capstone Project Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to work in their Dartmouth, NS office, remote work could be an option, travel may be required; based on the client commitments. We extend these principles through our team member relationships and our client experiences. **Role Description**: Acting as the liaison between the Project Team and the client organization, the Business Analyst is a motivated team player who will participate in small to large projects gathering information, documenting processes and confirming requirements. They will work with various stakeholders to evaluate business needs and ensure best-of-class solutions or business transformations are delivered to their clients. The Business Analyst requires solid business acumen, communication skills and the ability to work with business leaders to help drive discoveries, workshops and documentation including workflows and process descriptions. Working along side other project team members, you will report directly to the project manager and contribute your skills, experiences and natural analytical thinking to explain concepts and business information to the team and client. **Your responsibilities will include**: Client focused engagement: - Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvement. - Leading ongoing reviews of business areas and technology developing recommendations to address current state pain points, opportunities for improved future state and a roadmap for continuous development. - Perform requirements elicitation and analysis - Documenting and communication the results of your efforts. - Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional teams and leadership. - Producing reports and options papers. - Working closely with clients, technicians and managerial staff. - Providing leadership, training, coaching and guidance to junior staff. - Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures and workflows - Monitoring assignments and deliverables, reporting on performance to the project manager and ensuring alignment for completion according to schedule and other team member work activity. **Capstone Team Commitments**: - Ensure deliverables are of high quality and meet client requirements - Provide leadership, guidance and feedback to teams and colleagues - Attend and contribute to internal team meetings to discuss progress, opportunities, value-add services and continuous relationship building - Contribute your knowledge and experience in response to RFP submissions - Maintain Capstone culture of respect, equality and accessibility - we are one united team. **Required Skills**: - 3+ years as a business analyst; or other education and equivalent knowledge gained through combination of education and experience. - with demonstrated experience in developing detailed business requirements - History of leading and supporting successful projects - A track record of following through on commitments - Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Experience creating detailed reports and facility group workshops, individual interview and other discovery/acceptance techniques. - Ability to bridge the knowledge gap between business and technical SMEs. - Experience interfacing with external suppliers and managing engagement dependencies. - Experience working in an agile and waterfall environment. - Experience working with SaaS, PaaS, Hybrid and on-prem product vendors - Team player **Preferred Skills**: - Emergency Services industry experience is considered a strong asset - Procurement experience (writing RFI's and RFP's, writing submission responses) For more information contact Jamie Grant, Partner at 902-420-1809 or Brooke Ireland, Senior Consultant at 902-421-1214 To learn more about Meridia Recruitment Solutions, our job opportunities, and career advice we invite you to explore our site and subscribe for career alerts.
