Reporting to the VP of Business Intelligence, this role will support the building of a new function that will allow the business to leverage various data sources to produce critical insights that can help inform quality strategy and tactics. The Data Analyst will be involved primarily in the scoping, planning and delivering data and analytics projects and will also be involved in several strategic and tactical initiatives. Interfacing directly with internal stakeholders and external partners, the incumbent will need strong business advisory skills to gain an understanding of the business needs and concerns, then interpreting, translating and documenting those needs to implement data solutions that align with the business needs.

As a member of a developing practice, the Data Analyst will have the flexibility and support to influence their career path and to make impactful contributions to the roadmap and delivery of this new Business Intelligence function.

**Responsibilities** include but are not limited to**:

- Managing organizational data across various business functions (Sales, Service, HR, Finance, Marketing) to ensure that it is clean, consistent, available, defined and understood.
- Providing actionable ad-hoc analytic insights for internal stakeholders.
- Evaluating business process, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions.
- Maintaining an understanding of company KPIs across the organization.
- Interpreting, translating and documenting business data and analytic needs and creating solutions that align with the company’s strategic plan, communicating the results of these efforts to stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of practical experience in analytics, business intelligence, data governance or data engineering.
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain a high level of confidence and integrity at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated hands on experience creating dashboards, reports, data mashups and data visualizations using business intelligence software (Tableau, Qliksense, PowerBI, etc).
- Exposure to a cloud computing environment (Azure, GCP, AWS) considered an asset.
- Advance working knowledge of applicable languages (i.e., SQL, R, Python).
- Understanding and exposure to data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Demonstrated data wrangling experience (i.e., data profiling and analysis).
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Ability to travel on occasion.
