**Role Purpose and Summary**

Reporting to the Site Supervisor the Site Finisher/Carpenter is responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor and with all site and building requirements.

Note: This is not an entry level position.

**Key Responsibility Areas**
- Drywall, Trim and paint work
- Identify and assess construction deficiencies and perform repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure complete clean-up of home, inside and outside, prior to Pre-Delivery Inspections
- Site Clean up, maintain a professional, clean and organized job site
- Fix and eliminate deficiency items before Pre-Delivery Inspections, including preparation for occupancy inspection
- Complete all finishing tasks in preparation for Pre-Delivery Inspection
- Tour every house under construction daily to ensure house is swept clean and trade work is completed according to the Site Supervisor's direction and production schedule
- Prepare houses under construction for building inspections
- Review Scopes of Work and individual project specification to monitor quality of workmanship and eliminate errors and omissions

**Knowledge and Skills**

**Education**:

- Secondary School Diploma
- Industry related courses i.e. C.E.T. Construction
- Ministry of Labour Required Courses i.e. WHMIS, Working at Heights, etc
- Carpentry or other Construction related tickets an asset

**Experience and Skills**:

- 2 years new home construction related experience
- Drywall/trim/paint experience
- Scheduling of house build experience
- Time management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work flexible/long hours during peaking periods
- Customer Service technician skills, ability to conduct and oversee carpentry, plumbing, electrical, framing and other building skills
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate with purchasers and employees
- Current on trends and innovations in residential and light commercial construction
- Current in software, processes and techniques

**Hours of Work**

Monday - Friday:

- 44hrs per week
- Additional work may be required based on site requirements

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
