**Job Summary**

The Accounts Payable/Receivable is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions which include but are not limited to month-end close process, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle, maintaining inventory report, and preparation and analyzing of various reports as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the month-end close process and running month-end reports as per schedule.
- Maintaining Inventory report and adjusting Inventory and Job cost when required.
- Run reports in preparation for physical inventory count including inactivity, bin location check, inventory value and make any necessary inventory adjustments prior to year-end.
- Enter cash receipts and update A/R invoicing as required.
- Maintaining G/L spreadsheets for payroll journal entry processing.
- Assisting the controller with G/L duties
- Assist with general A/R, A/P duties as required
- Generate reports in Excel
- Prepare bank reconciliation report to ensure that the bank statements reconcile with Sage and all the direct bank payments, receipts and withdrawals, and cleared and outstanding cheques are all accounted for in Sage.
- Developing programs and reports in MS Access as per users’ specifications.

**General Tasks**
- Carry out task or duties which may reasonably be expected to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Accounts department.
- Due to accounting deadlines, annual leave will be restricted to times outside of busy periods. These primarily occur at month end and year end.

**Knowledge Required**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general accounting position
- University / College degree in Accounting or Diploma
- Experience with MS Office and Excel, knowledge of Access a plus and strong ability to learn new software
- Experience and understanding with Sage financial systems.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
