COMPANY SUMMARY

Gather Catering is a boutique catering company that offers our clients the highest quality of food and service. We cater to a wide variety of event styles, such as weddings, corporate lunches, cocktail and dinner parties, and other social gatherings. At Gather, our attentive team takes pride in our ability to anticipate the needs of our clients, with a focus on hospitality and personable service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare food items to the highest standard, as directed by the Head or Executive Chef

Provide excellent verbal and written communication to all team members, vendors, and clients

Utilize exceptional critical thinking skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly in dynamic and changing environments

Ensure the highest level of food safety practices and cleanliness is adhered to at all times

Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner

Ensure all food products are stored appropriately, labelled, downsized, and rotated to maximize quality and minimize waste

Possess excellent personal hygiene standards

Respond in a positive and timely manner to all client requests and concerns, while striving to meet company standards of exceeding client’s expectations

Protect and enhance the Gather Catering brand

Additional ad hoc duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs

Strong time management and organizational skills

Availability to work seasonal and flexible hours - days, evenings, weekends, holidays

Possess a valid driver’s license

Enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn
- applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Pay will be based on experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Event: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
