Reporting to the **Senior Manager of Evaluation and Impact,** the _Evaluation Manager_ is responsible for supporting all evaluation efforts at Jack.org. Working with the Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization team, the Evaluation Manager plays a key role in evaluation planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting to understand our programmatic impact and identify areas for improvement. The Evaluation Manager supports a learning culture to advance Jack.org’s strategic priorities and ensure continued delivery and improvement of our programs. **In this role, you will**: - With guidance from the Senior Manager, develop and manage the annual plan for program evaluation, including monitoring budget and activities - Manage all qualitative and quantitative evaluation projects at Jack.org, including annual formative, process, and outcome evaluation planning; mixed methods data collection and analysis; and evaluation reporting and knowledge sharing for Jack Talks, Jack Chapters, Be There, and other organizational initiatives as required, including: - Developing evaluation plans - Monitoring, proactively identifying, and addressing recruitment, data collection, and data quality issues as they arise - Effectively synthesizing, communicating, and facilitating the use of mixed methods evaluation data - Leading the planning for primary data collection as needed for KM products like the Youth Voice Report - Ensure that programs staff and organizational leadership have useful qualitative and quantitative evaluation data to make key decisions, including through monthly touchpoints with program staff, quarterly cross-functional meetings, and ad-hoc sharing of learnings - Effectively manage Evaluation Lead and EKM Coordinator (with KM Lead), coaching for performance (including timely and specific feedback), ensuring workload is appropriate, building and fostering a strong team (culture, cohesion, celebration, etc.), and supporting professional development - With the Evaluation Lead, support the development of fundraising proposals and reports by providing timely data in response to requests from the Development team - Lead the qualitative evaluation portfolio with support from the EKM team, including: - Creating focus group/interview guides and recruitment plans - Conducting or training staff to conduct focus groups/interviews - Coding and analyzing interview transcripts - In collaboration with the Senior Manager, lead the development and implementation of Jack.org’s impact measurement framework in alignment with the organizational strategy - Oversee the EKM Youth Advisory Committee, including the preparation of meeting agendas and facilitation of youth participation in evaluation work - Work with Knowledge Mobilization staff to translate and share key findings as needed (eg. conferences and publications) - Other duties as required **We’re looking for someone who has**: - At least 3 years of experience leading program evaluation, including evaluation planning, participant recruitment, data collection through the creation of surveys and conducting focus groups/interviews, data cleaning, coding, analysis, and reporting findings, preferably in a community setting - Experience conducting qualitative research, including creating interview guides, conducting interviews and focus groups, and thematic analysis of interview data - Demonstrated experience managing direct report(s), and well-developed leadership and coaching skills - Strong strategic mindset combined with the ability to get things done with a team (doesn't just ask "How do we get this done?" - asks, "What is the BEST way to get this done?"). - A relevant graduate degree or equivalent experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write in an accessible style for non-academic audiences - Thrives in a fast-paced environment; can balance competing priorities and quickly adapt plans to changing organizational needs - Both a driver and a collaborator: someone who gets things done and doesn't shy away from decision-making, but who also genuinely likes interacting with others and incorporating input from different members of the team into decision-making **We would love it if you had (Ideal, but not a must)**: - Experience with data processing using R - Experience working with Salesforce or other similar Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) - Experience working with youth - An understanding of and passion for youth mental health promotion and education issues - Working proficiency in French **What’s in it for you?** - A full-time, permanent position starting at **$65,000-$80,000** per annum - A highly competitive, comprehensive benefits package - Working for an organization that supports personal and professional development and that will invest in your growth - A flexible, trust-based culture: we offer uncapped sick days and flex hours - A fun, exciting environment filled with an amazing group of driven, ta
