Reporting to the **Senior Manager of Evaluation and Impact,** the _Evaluation Lead _is responsible for supporting all evaluation efforts at Jack.org. Working with the Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization team, the Evaluation Lead plays a key role in evaluation planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting to understand our programmatic impact and identify areas for improvement. The Evaluation Lead supports a learning culture to advance Jack.org’s strategic priorities and ensure continued delivery and improvement of our programs.
**In this role, you will**:
- Work with the EKM team members and programs staff, planning and executing qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed methods data collection for formative, process and outcome evaluation to inform ongoing program development and knowledge translation, including:
- Developing evaluation questions and plans
- Creating surveys in consultation with colleagues
- Drafting focus group/interview guides and recruitment plans in consultation with colleagues
- Conducting focus groups/interviews with youth
- Cleaning, coding, and analyzing survey data and interview transcripts
- Proactively identifying and addressing recruitment, data collection, and data quality issues as they arise
- Effectively synthesizing, communicating, and facilitating the use of qualitative and quantitative evaluation data
- Support internal learning and external communications by providing insights and recommendations for program iteration to staff and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with programs staff to support the program development, implementation, and data collection needs as they arise
- Draft abstracts and present key findings at conferences in collaboration with Knowledge Mobilization staff
- May supervise an Evaluation Coordinator, supporting their performance, growth, and professional development
- Support general evaluation work and other duties as required
**We’re looking for someone who has**:
- A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, including sufficient training in both quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis, with an emphasis on quantitative skills
- Related experience in public health, research, and/or program evaluation, including evaluation planning, participant recruitment, survey creation, data collection and monitoring, data cleaning, coding, and analysis, and reporting findings
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, with an emphasis on quantitative skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write in an accessible style for non-academic audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment; can balance competing priorities and quickly adapt plans to changing organizational needs
**We would love it if you had (Ideal, but not a must)**:
- Experience with data analysis using R
- Experience managing direct report(s)
- Experience working with Salesforce or other similar Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM)
- Experience working with youth
- An understanding of and passion for youth mental health promotion and education issues
- Working proficiency in French
**What’s in it for you?**
