Barista/customer Service

**Job Overview**:
As a Part-Time Barista/Party Attendant, you’ll play a dual role in our busy café and play area. You’ll be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with parties and events. This is a hands-on position that requires a positive attitude, a love for working with kids and families, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the coffee station, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Take customer orders, offer recommendations, and handle payments accurately using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Keep the café area clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up for parties and special events, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for guests.
- Greet party guests and help coordinate the event schedule, including food, drinks, and activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that parents and children have everything they need for a great time.
- Monitor play areas to ensure safety and assist children as needed during parties.
- Help with party decorations, food service, and maintaining cleanliness during events.
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Ensure that all customers have a positive experience in the café and play area.
- Answer customer questions about the menu, party bookings, and services.
- Help with light cleaning and organizing of the café and play areas during and after shifts.
- Restock supplies as needed, ensuring the café is always ready for customers.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- No prior barista experience required (but an asset), a willingness to learn and a passion for coffee is essential.
- Friendly, upbeat, and enthusiastic personality with a love for working with children and families.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or retail is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work weekends and occasional evenings (especially for party events).
- High school or college student seeking part-time work.
