Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient barrista /server at our French Bistro . This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management and excellent customer service skills . Experience is a must and must be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS, and process transactions with cash handling skills.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items while adhering to food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, dining space, and equipment throughout shifts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Restock supplies as needed and assist in opening or closing procedures as directed.
  • Work well in a team and able to work alone as required

Experience

  • Prior barista experience or background in the food industry is required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about coffee, food service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
