We are currently searching for a dynamic **Dispatcher** to join our Montreal office. Reporting to the Inland Operations Manager, the dispatcher ensures smooth operations with the owner operators & service providers. He handles the dispatch, monitor operations (pickup and delivery), and manage invoicing, all related to activities. He/she also coordinates and controls the movement of trucks and drivers to and from the Bickerdike and/or Fairview Cove Terminal, respecting sailing schedules as efficiently as possible, in accordance with established procedures.

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- Oversee customer booking data in order to provide accurate information to the Drivers.
- Monitor and control movement of all carriers to ensure compliance with schedules.
- Coordinate and plan the movements of all drivers and carriers to ensure compliance with schedules.
- Ensure equipment availability and interact with the Customer Service Department.
- Provide the data required for the establishment of rates to the Pricing Department, as needed.
- Monitor and control movements.
- Interact weekly with the Accounts Payable Department on brokers’ charges.
- Respond daily to requirements from Compliance Service.
- Replace other members of the dispatch team when they are on vacation.
- Be on duty one quarter of the time, nights and weekends.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- High school degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation.
- Computer literate.
- Bilingualism (French and English).

**Skills**
- Strong organizational and priority management skills.
- Autonomy.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Detail and deadline oriented.
