Embark on a rewarding leadership journey with ATCO Gas as the Manager, Operations, positioned in the dynamic community of Red Deer.

As the Manager, Operations at our Red Deer location, you will spearhead our Transmission and Distribution operations, encompassing construction, service, inspections, and maintenance.

This pivotal role reports to the Director of South Field & Service Operations and is integral to maintaining the safety, efficiency, and integrity of our gas distribution system in the region. If you thrive in a dynamic environment where your actions directly contribute to community and environmental safety, this is the role for you.

**What You Get to Do**:

- Provide leadership, direction, development, and supervision to staff, ensuring high levels of competency and performance.
- Manage and oversee the timely and efficient completion of scheduled operations, maintenance, and construction activities related to the gas distribution system, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Develop and manage budgets, including analyzing financial deviations.
- Coordinate both emergency responses and unscheduled field activities with regulatory authorities and the public.
- Address and resolve complaints and investigations received from the public and company officials.
- Lead thorough accident and incident investigations, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.

**What You Bring**:

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a related field, with extensive knowledge of the natural gas industry, including field and service operations, standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including decision-making, team leadership, and motivation.
- Commitment to community involvement, including interactions with community leaders and emergency services.
- Ability to travel across the designated territory.

**Residency Requirements**
- Live within 30 minutes of Red Deer office at 7590 Edgar Industrial Drive, Red Deer, AB
