Building Maintenance Technician

Day Shift: 6am to 2pm OR 7am to 3pm
** Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance and repair duties on buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic plumbing issues (e.g., leaks, clogs, fixture replacements).
- Carry out minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
- Conduct carpentry work including repairs to doors, windows, drywall, and basic furniture assembly.
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
- Install hardware such as shelving, blinds, and appliances.
- Perform routine inspections toidentifypotential issues and escalate major repair needs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and facility emergencies.
- Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organizedat all times.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years or more ofexperience asa building maintenance technician, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license.

**Work Environment**:

- Work will take place in indoor, outdoor, and cold storage environments (temperatures as low as -18°C).
- May require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
- Availability for after-hours emergency calls may berequired.
