Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Montreal. The successful individual will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the physical condition of the office property including routine maintenance, repairs, and ensuring that the building is safe and operational. This position is essential to creating a positive experience for our tenants and clients.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and address any issues related to building systems, equipment, and structural elements. Diagnose and repair problems efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain safety systems and protocols, such as fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and security systems, to ensure the safety of building occupants.
- Conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as patching walls, painting, carpentry work, and basic plumbing tasks.
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment required for maintenance and repairs. Report any equipment issues and ensure proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service histories. Generate reports as required by management.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ensure the quality of work and compliance with company standards.
- Be available for after-hours emergency response for building-related issues and emergencies.
- Identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and sustainability improvements within the buildings.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical certification in building maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance or a related field.
- Must be bilingual in both English and French (verbal and written).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
