Scarborough, Canada Sunflower Developmental Services Full time

Sunflower Developmental services is a Day Program for individuals with special needs. We are looking for devoted workers that are comfortable working with the vulnerable sector. Must be commited,dedicated and able to multi task and work independently.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Daily programming & implementation of activities
- Role modeling for and encouraging communication from clients
- Implementing Life & social skills with clients (Assisting with routines)
- Experience in forming and maintaining relationships with families and other support persons.
- Ability and desire to be active and mobile within the community.
- Curriculum and events planning/ implementation
- Ensuring the safety of all clients
- Ensuring clients needs are met daily
- Ability to work co
- operatively as part of a support team
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the program according to protocol
- Display positive attitude an approach towards persons with disabilities

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**

Minimum College
- University Degree in Social work, D.S.W or equivalent

Worked with individuals with developmental needs in some capacity

Valid V.S.S. Check, C.P.R. & First Aid Certification, C.P.I. Or equivalent

Ability to respond to various job requirements

Excellent communication, written & organization skills

**Preferred Skills**

Organized, motivated, self
- starter, enthusiastic, able to work with mínimal supervision at times

**Additional Notes**

Individual MUST have a vulnerable sector check, C.P.I or Equivalent, C.P.R. & First Aid

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Scarborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Post-Doctorate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- qualified on job: 1 year (preferred)
