Construction Site Supervisor

**Position Summary**

Site Supervisor is responsible for overall management, supervision, and quality assurance of the tasks on the job sites to which they are assigned. Site Supervisor shall coordinate and schedule trades, workers, and delivery of materials to the site.

Site supervisor shall ensure that the project is being implemented based on the project schedule and provide the Senior Project Manager with daily and weekly updates.

**Responsibilities**
- Read the projects scope of work, the project plans and drawings and fully understand the nature of the work and details of construction.
- Receive the project schedule from the office, understand the project timeline and ensure coordination of trades and all relevant activities of the site.
- Assisting the Project Manager to ensure contract objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are met in accordance with company policy and contract specifications
- Read and understand the company’s site safety policies and procedures and ensure all the persons working on the site are fully aware and adhere to the safety protocols.
- Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties perform their assigned tasks based on the project schedule.
- Create strong relationships and ongoing communication with all, trade contractors, consultants, sub trades, designers and clients
- Plan, coordinate and organize the equipment and manpower necessary to complete the project.
- Actively involve and be responsible for maintaining site health and safety by keeping the site clean and tidy.
- Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- Must have proven strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and construction knowledge.
- Ability to work as a team player
- Conducting site inspections for each stage of construction with City Inspectors to ensure quality, safety, and building processes are followed.
- Keep detailed records including photo's of construction site activities and report to Senior Project Manager on daily and weekly basis.
- Perform daily quality assurance of the activities performed by trades and workers and approve the completion of the activities.
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed.
- Analyze blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
- Accepts responsibility for his/her own performance and perform any tasks of trades remaining to ensure the project goes smooth and believe in delivering excellence.
- Make no promises to homeowners/clients and refer all their comments and concerns to Senior Project Manager.

**Requirements**:
A minimum of 7 years of construction supervision experience required in the residential industry especially in extensive renovations and new builds. Only those with this type of experience need apply.

Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architectural Science or Engineering is preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle

Thorough understanding of architectural and mechanical drawings

Not afraid of putting on a tool belt from time to time.

Has a rolodex of good trades is beneficial but not required.

This is a full time position and we are not looking for Sub contractors.

**Salary**

Paid Salary - $35 -$45/hours depending on experience.

Company truck during work hours when required.
