As an Arborist Crew Member, you will be a crucial team member. You will report directly to the Arborist Manager and the office. You will be involved in all on-site operations. Depending on the day's tasks, your day may require climbing and pruning, ground trimming, stump grinding, or removal scenarios. After completing the climbing work, you will be asked to assist with ground activities. On-site communication with the homeowners is routine. This is a physically demanding and fast-paced job. We strive for excellence from the top down and are looking for experienced Arborists looking for a long-term, stable position in the industry.

Job Duties:
Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture to industry and company standards, including:

- Pruning
- Climbing
- Removals
- Groundwork
- Stump grinding
- Fertilizing
- Insect/disease control
- Planting
- Cabling and bracingRigging
- Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, stump grinder, chippers, DRI system)

**Responsibilities**:

- Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.
- Assumes responsibility for examining and maintaining tools, trucks, and other work equipment. When necessary, requests that equipment be repaired or replaced.
- Driving vehicles to and from a site.
- Safetly and efficiently running the chipper.
- Running ropes used in the safe and controlled lowering of limbs when working around property assets.
- Directing crew members for end-of-job site clean-up and gear pack up.
- Shop, truck, and equipment organization.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Advise the manager when supplies or materials are needed to complete specific jobs.

**Requirements**:

- **MUST HAVE tree climbing experience.**:

- Have a minimum of 2 years experience working on a tree crew.
- Advanced knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimmer, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.
- **Enforces **on-the-job **safety practices**.
- Valid driver’s license (drivers abstract must be provided).
- Possesses the ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, and snow.
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and retain valid First Aid certification.

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
