**About the Job**:
**Arborist Climbers** have the ability and willingness to learn and adapt to learning about the industry. The ability to learn and understand how to climb and rig trees. How to shape trees and hedge trim.

**Details**:

- Assisting Arborist climber working on the ground and aloft.
- Drag brush and clean up around job site; move logs and wood around
- Maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws and chippers)
- Learning and understanding all safety policies and laying out a safe work zone.
- Learning the ability to shape trees, removal of trees, installation of cables and bracing
- Ability to push, pull and lift heavy weight, working at heights, rigging safety and harness safety principles.
- Be able to handle instructions and do the job accordingly as directed verbally or written.
- Be able to ask questions and learn quickly on the job.
- Commit to learning and growing with the company’s future needs and aspirations.
- Want to make a full time career and have a passion for the industry.

**Pay**:

- Wage $22.00 - $25.00/hour
- **Wage will be negotiated based upon experience**:

- Tool Allowances: Will be allocated for Boots and Pants after 3 months probationary period

This is a full-time, seasonal position

Depending on weather and business market conditions

**Requirements**:

- Have the ability to follow instructions and communicate with supervisor(s) and crew members.
- CSA Approved Chainsaw Steel-toed boots with steel shanks and chainsaw protections, chainsaw pants.
- Must be willing to **work 8 - 10** hour days in season Monday to Friday
- Emergency/ storm work after hours and/or weekends may be required but not enforced

**Qualifications**:

- 0 - 3 years of experience
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn operate equipment such as bucket truck, skid steer, stump grinder, chippers and other equipment as needed.
- Everything can be learned - willing to train who has the right attitude and is motivated.
- **Someone who wants to have a career in the Arboriculture Industry**

**Physical Capabilities**:

- Physically able to perform strenuous and demanding tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Heavy lifting, drag brush, clean up moving logs and wood around.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and more

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday, overtime could be offered depending on business needs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
