Lead Arborist

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a crew of other arborists and ground crews
- Experienced in pruning and tree removal
- Cable/bracing
- Tree climbing (with and without spurs)
- Rigging for removal and pruning
- Safe operation of truck and chipper
- Service equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
- Participate in daily safety meetings and daily job briefings
- Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies
- Keeps work area clean and orderly
- Perform work to spec stated on work orders
- Tree planting including recommendation
- Plant health care, insect and pest management,
- Knowledge of the commercial tree care industry
- Provide advice and consult with clients
- Complete budgets
- Provide tree assessments on client properties
- Ability to schedule projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attend sales and site meetings
- Excellent interpersonal skills

**Qualifications**:

- ISA certification is considered an asset
- A proven track record for high quality work
- High attention to detail
- Looking for a self-starter with a great work ethic
- Able to clearly communicate with customers and attend to their needs
- A clean valid driver’s license is required, air brakes an asset
- Must be able to carry 50lbs at a minimum and work outside in all weather conditions
- Strong leadership and organization skills

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
