As an Arborist Crew Member, you will be a key contributor to daily tree care operations. You will report directly to the Head Arborist and work closely with both field and office staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality job execution.

You will be involved in all aspects of on-site operations. Depending on daily assignments, duties may include climbing and pruning, ground trimming, stump grinding, tree removals, and plant health care tasks. Following completion of climbing work, you will assist with ground operations and site cleanup.

This role involves regular on-site communication with homeowners, requires strong teamwork, and demands a high level of physical endurance. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position suited for experienced tree workers seeking long-term, stable employment with a company that values professionalism and excellence.

**Job Duties**

Safely perform and support all aspects of arboriculture in accordance with industry best practices and company standards, including:

- Pruning and trimming
- Tree climbing
- Tree removals
- Ground operations
- Stump grinding
- Fertilization and soil care
- Insect and disease control
- Tree and shrub planting
- Cabling, bracing, and rigging
- Properly operate and maintain equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, stump grinders, chippers, and DRT/DRI climbing systems

**Responsibilities**
- Bring a cooperative, professional, and enthusiastic attitude to every job site
- Inspect, maintain, and care for tools, trucks, and equipment; report repair or replacement needs as required
- Safely and efficiently operate the wood chipper
- Run ropes and rigging systems for the controlled lowering of limbs around property and structures
- Assist in directing crew members during job-site cleanup and equipment pack-up
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
- Maintain organization of the shop, trucks, and equipment
- Advise management when materials or supplies are needed to complete jobs
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- **Mandatory tree climbing experience**:

- Minimum **2-3 years of experience** working on a tree crew
- Advanced knowledge of tree species, growth habits, and proper arboriculture techniques for pruning, maintenance, and removals
- Strong commitment to on-the-job safety and ability to enforce safety practices
- Valid driver’s license (driver’s abstract required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and sun
- Passion for nature, the environment, and outdoor work
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and self-motivation
- Valid First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain and maintain)
