**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance visual appeal.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal specials.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baking supplies and ingredients.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests or dietary restrictions when applicable.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to food preparation and safety.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in the food industry, specifically in pastry preparation and baking techniques.
- Proficient in cake decorating skills, with an eye for detail in presentation.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Creativity and passion for baking, with a willingness to experiment with new recipes and ideas.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while ensuring timely production of baked goods.
