The Social Media & Content Manager is responsible for leading, developing and executing both the paid and organic social media strategy to maximize both campaign level activities along with always on organic content across major social platforms. They will provide a holistic view of platform performance (both paid and organic) for Samsung overall along with divisional performance including Mobile Experiences, Consumer Electronics and Enterprise Business Development and will be responsible for supporting key brand managers to develop digital marketing plans with their respective channel activities. The implications of this role are considerable, including the continued perception of Samsung as an ethical, successful, innovative company - a brand that matters to consumers and Canadians. Reporting in the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and Content, this role works closely with internal brand leads and stakeholders who manage their respective product or service.

Role and Responsibilities

Paid Social Strategy (60%):

- Lead the paid social media elements within all Integrated Marketing Campaigns (IMC) across all LOBs (Mobile Experiences, Consumer Electronics, Direct to Consumer, Corporate Brand and Service) by managing and reviewing agency media plans.
- Work directly with platform partners and agencies from strategy to execution - strong focus on relationship building with social media partners and drive incremental value from those partnerships.
- Build, lead, and ensure high-impact response to test & learn approach to new social media activities and platforms, such as working with TikTok as an emerging platform.
- Drive incremental value for the brand team’s strategy showcasing a solid understanding of the platforms used.
- Recommend paid media optimizations (in partnership with media agency) as necessary, synthesize media data into actionable insights for future briefings.
- Work closely with the rest of the SMEs within Corporate Marketing to build strategies and tactics that ladder up to the campaign brief to achieve defined objectives.
- Continuously look for new and innovative opportunities in social media marketing.
- Collaborate with partners to create insightful and actionable quarterly reviews, monthly scorecards, weekly performance and relevant campaign reports.

Organic Social Strategy (40%):

- Build and manage a 3-month rolling organic content calendar for Samsung Canada Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube page by using global content and locally created Canadian content.
- Ensure social content posted on Samsung Canada channels meets global guidelines to ensure brand consistency and best practices. Manage on-going updates with relevant agency partners.
- Periodically meet with social media platforms to explore new and developing products and opportunities.
- Create and manage social landscape report to identify opportunities for Samsung to engage in relevant and timely events in Canada.

**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience.

Knowledge:

- Analytical, detail-oriented nature with experience reporting on insights and campaign results.
- Experience using Sprinklr, Adobe or other related social media measurement platform.
- Experience either building or adapting content to best maximize the performance and engagement of content through brand owned social platforms.
- Experience managing complex and fast-moving issues while working with limited supervision.
- Incredible attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Very strong writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation skills, ability to host video content as needed
