**Responsibilities**
- Maintain precise inventory records using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Made2Manage, or similar platforms.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Manage accounts payable related to inventory transactions, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Execute inventory audits by performing physical counts, cycle counts, and verifying stock levels against system records.
- Support budgeting processes by providing accurate inventory data and assisting with financial report writing.
- Handle complex bookkeeping tasks such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation to maintain financial integrity.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and tax-related documentation when necessary.
- Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze account activity, prepare reports, and improve inventory control procedures.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Made2Manage or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals including debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Experience managing accounts payable within an inventory context; tax experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis using technical accounting skills; experience in financial report writing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and supporting financial planning activities.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with analytical thinking skills to identify discrepancies quickly and resolve issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and preparing clear reports.
