Strategic Group has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Asset Manager
Strategic Group owns and develops office, retail and apartment properties across Canada with a strategy to own for the long term by focusing on sustainability and recurring revenue. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with the preparation of monthly ownership reports with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze monthly performance/financials and variance reports and provide recommendations to ensure key benchmarks are achieved.
- Review leases and ensure accurate information is received and maintained.
- Develop strong professional relations with 3rd party managers by attending weekly meetings with property managers and maintain OneNote trackers.
- Provide strategic recommendations on property operations, capital planning and major repairs by conducting regular property inspections.
- Assist and support in the annual preparation and approval process of property operating budgets.
- Assist with capital program scopes, timelines, budgets and financial tracking, along with ROI analysis.
- Prepare market studies, reforecasts and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
- Work collaboratively with the acquisition/disposition team during due diligence and onboarding phase.
- Establish and foster relationships throughout the organization to ensure flow of information is maintained.
- Other duties as required.

**Experience/Skills**:

- Minimum 3+ years of Property Manager/Administrator and/or Asset Management background and looking to expand their knowledge and experience.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, OneNote and Outlook.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work with financial concepts and perform financial analysis.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in fast paced environment.
- Problem solving and research skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Positive attitude.
- Familiarity with real estate software such as Yardi, Argus etc., considered an asset.
