**SALARY**: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*

**POSITION LOCATION**:Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)



**DUTIES**
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Indigenous Education; the Manager of Indigenous Student Supports and Partnerships provides strategic leadership, direction, and daily management of the Indigenous Student Support Team at RRC Polytech. This role is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing strategies to ensure positive student experience across the institution. The Manager oversees a diverse team, including Elders in Residence, Knowledge Keepers, navigation coaches, academic liaison/resource coaches, and others dedicated to supporting students, fostering external partnerships, and organizing events.

- The Manager, coordinates and assists the Polytech in developing and maintaining successful partnerships with the Indigenous community and other external stakeholders. The incumbent collaborates with academic and support areas in the development and delivery of academic programming with community partners, including administrative functions such as legal agreements, budgeting, project management, promotion, marketing, and community liaison.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (i.e. Education, Social Work, Indigenous Studies, Business) Other combinations of education, relevant experience and/or lived experience may be considered
- Extensive knowledge and/or direct experience of the social and academic challenges and needs of Indigenous students and experience in the provision of support services, resources, programs available for Indigenous students and adults
- Demonstrated human resource management skills (i.e. hiring, performance improvement/reviews, discipline and attendance support)
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience to train, lead and motivate a team
- Experience working in partnership with Indigenous organizations, communities, and other stakeholders
- Experience with protocols and culture when working with Indigenous organizations and communities
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Experience in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective, trusting relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders is required.
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- Academic credentials in project management

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver's license
