**What would my role be?**

Reporting to the Manager, Assisted Living Services, you will be accountable for planning, organizing, and evaluating activities of the assigned care and services for the Enhanced Assisted Living program which is financed through the Local Integrated Network (LHIN). Your main role would be to assist the tenants and their families to manage clinical conditions and maximize their self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities.

**How do I qualify?**

Required:

- Two (2) year Community college diploma in Practical Nursing from a recognized program
- Minimum two (2) years of related clinical experience (work or educational related)
- Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate

Preferred:

- Familiar with Point Click Care software

**What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?**
- Extensive knowledge in the field of gerontology & dementia
- Able to manage communications and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage stressful situations and conflicts
- Practical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., regarding privacy, the provision of health care services, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
