Proposal Student
What You’ll Be Working On
Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.
Projects are scoped in alignment with your term length, and typically focus on a current construction project.
We are seeking a student to join us for a 4 month co-op position starting in September, 2025. This position will be based out of Mississauga, ON.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with various departments for proposal information gathering.- Assist in creating and formatting proposal documents to meet organizational standards.- Coordinate the review process, ensuring timely stakeholder feedback.- Conduct market research for relevant proposal content.- Analyze client requirements, tailoring proposals to meet specific needs.- Stay informed about industry trends for enhanced proposal competitiveness.- Maintain a comprehensive, accurate database of proposal content.- Organize and manage proposal-related files for easy retrieval and reference.-
- Communicate effectively with team members for smooth collaboration during proposal development.- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing for error-free proposals.- Assist in developing templates and standard content to streamline future proposal processes.
Who We Need On Our Team- You are currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, or Design related program.- You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher- Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships- Exemplify the Ideal Team Player - Hungry, Humble, Smart- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude- Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries- If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements, you may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
